Claire McNeil

Claire is a founder of The Fluency Trust charity which has been running intensive courses for young people who stammer for the past fifteen years. As a speech and language therapist she specialises in stammering and voice disorders.

She developed the Swindon Fluency Packs, a programme of group therapy for young people who stammer. This programme won the Sternberg award for clinical innovation in 2004. She directed SPEAK in 2008, this is a film made by young people who stammer which provides education about stammering and support to young people.

Claire has a diploma in Solution Focused Practice and is committed to developing this effective way of working with individuals and in a group setting. She has extensive experience in training and mentoring other professionals.
