Connect is a charity for people living with aphasia, a communication disability which usually occurs after stroke. Aphasia is sometimes known as dysphasia and it can also be caused by brain injury or tumour.



The National Autistic Society is the leading UK charity for people with autism (including Asperger syndrome) and their families. It provides information, support and pioneering services, and campaigns for a better world for people with autism



Dementia UK is a national charity, committed to improving quality of life for all people affected by dementia.




BSA is the only national organisation for adults and children who stammer, run by people who stammer.


 The Stroke Association funds research into prevention, treatment and better methods of rehabilitation, and helps stroke patients and their families directly through its Life After Stroke Services. These include Information, Advice and Support, Communication Support and Life After Stroke grants.
